About Loops & Lines Studio – Meet Kerry
Founder and Mindful Maker
Hello and welcome to Loops & Lines Studio, I’m Kerry. I founded Loops & Lines Studio because I noticed how desperate our modern lives have become for true, offline stillness. In a world dominated by constant notifications and digital hurry, my crochet hook always brought me back to the here and now.
For me, crochet stopped being just a craft and became a therapeutic anchor. I realised that the simple, repetitive glide of yarn over a crochet hook mimics the natural cycles of breathing. Its craft that quietens a busy mind, resets the nervous system and anchors us firmly in the present.
Creating Space for Connection
As a parent, creative tutor and former librarian, my happiest moments are spent watching people discover their own creative capabilities. I chose to focus on parent-and-teen, and parent-and-child, duos because I know how rare it is to find intentional, screen-free spaces to just be together. At Loops & Lines Studio I blend our rich cultural heritage with modern mindfulness to create a calm, intentional space for connection to flurish.
When you enter my workshop, the pressure to be perfect drops at the door. Loops & Lines Studio workshops are relaxed, creative and calm. Whether we are counting the rows of the Autumn Harvest Pumpkin, creating winter motifs for our Winter Heirloom Garlands or learning to unravel an Spring Daisy Granny Square without self-judgement, I’m there to guide you gently through the mechanics, whilst the gentle craft and seasonal tea soothe the spirit.
